About Windlesham & Camberley Camera Club

Introduction

Windlesham & Camberley Camera Club (W&CCC) is a group of local photography enthusiasts who meet weekly from September to May to listen to talks, take part in club and inter-club friendly competitions, learn new techniques and socialise amongst like-minded photographers.

Please check the season programme for details of the current season’s activities.

New members of all levels of photographic experience are welcomed. Please see here for current joining information.

Club history

Here’s a brief summary of our more than 80 years of club history.

Members’ Evenings & Meeting Venue

The club meets every Wednesday evening from 7:45 to 10:00pm from September through to May at Deepcut Village Community Centre, 89 Swordsman’s Road, Deepcut, Camberley, Surrey, GU16 6BW.

In addition to our regular evening meetings, we have special interest groups aimed at improving our photographic skills and learning new ones, which meet either by zoom or face to face. We also organise visits to places of photographic interest .

We exhibit our images at local events and hold an annual exhibition of prints in Camberley Town Centre, which provides an opportunity for the public and prospective members to meet us and see our work.

Membership fees

The Annual membership fee is £75 and is payable on 1st September each year.   New members who join part-way through a season will have their membership rate adjusted pro-rata. Payment details are available from the Hon. Treasurer.

We have a 15-20 minute tea-break at each of our meetings, and ask members who take tea, coffee, or biscuits, to contribute £1 each time towards the costs.

Affiliations

The club is a member of the Surrey Photographic Association (SPA) and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) through the SPA.

The club is also a member of the Surrey Heath Arts Council, as well as The Friends of Surrey Heath Museum and supporter of the Surrey Heath Museum Action Group. For further information please also refer to the Heritage Gallery website.

We also participate in several of the local Camberley area fêtes and events, so if you see us there, then come and say hello.
